My darling step father Gerry died from Parkinson's related causes a couple of years ago. He taught Ancient History at Binghamton University in New York State. He taught some of the larger classes and, he did routinely use a microphone. Thank you for your work.
The Simon-Taylor Mockingbird duet still flies bluebirds of happiness up my nose.
Fifty-year old music has only gotten better with age … relative to the younger stuff that it seems doubtful will be remembered fifty years hence.
Slow microphone idea is interesting.
Fast microphone idea is swirling in the Charlie Kirk mix.
I think show business is fraught, in all its elements.
Young, or at heart, butterflies exhibitioning pretty, & prettily flapping, wings is an initial condition that may well gin up to typhoons down the road.
Two-Lane Blacktop. ’71. James Taylor & Dennis Wilson. The gas station scene, where the cross-country race, for “pinks,” is negotiated. In the background, transistor radio has Kristofferson singing his version of his song, Me & Bobby McGee.
JT’s still touring.

Had annual eye exam the other day. Then next door to optician for some spectacle tuning.
Last year she told me she was going in for a knee replacement.
I asked how it went. It didn’t.
Immune compromise. A Dx of autoimmune neural sarcoidosis.
Martha I enjoyed this article! I was diagnosed in 2017 at 49 years old. I definitely had issues with breathing beforehand. Not that I had trouble breathing, but I was always taking a deep breath or yawning to try to get a deep breath it was strange. I never connected the dots at the time. But I understand it now I think.
I’m looking forward to following you here and reading your articles!
Sad to hear about Carly Simon. I have always loved her song, "Your so Vain", and I always tell people that she wrote it about me.
Among the many overlooked, underrated, and forgotten tools to help with Parkinson's is strontium. There is very strong evidence that it helps with the pain and one case report of it helping with movement problems. Most of my research on Parkinson's can be found in this blog.
I’m not surprised by the association of major life stress to PD. I think it is a significant contributor to all disease conditions. Many studies have been done on Adverse Childhood Events (ACE’s) and subsequent health conditions later in life . The more ACEs, the sicker people were over time.
I feel like stress always impacts health. Maybe not right away, but it always does.
It appears to me that the Covid shots precipitated a lot of Parkinson’s. When several friends out of three handful develop the disease after injection (s) you have to question the cause.
Fauci and his lies have just been outed. Let’s have a real discussion about side effects, long Covid and death. More importantly, how to remediate the ongoing effects in the vaxxed. The microbiome is probably key as it appears from Sabine Hazan’s work that the Covid shots destroyed key microbes.
They are certainly a factor in what the body is having to deal with. There was precedent around this with the flu vaccines back in 2008 (i think). They were developing a vaccine and people developed Parkinson’s like symptoms and they stopped the vaccine. They also found that people who got the flu without the vaccine had a similar higher risk of Parkinson’s. I can say from looking at microbiome samples There is a significant difference in RNA vs controls in our samples. Unfortunately, we did not collect any samples after Covid so I have no data. Sabine Hazan has data on the microbiome impact from the shots but I do not know if any of the people she measured developed Parkinson’s.
I found you from Dr. Yoho who also has PD. His recommendations, books and yours have been very interesting and some benefit to my husband. I got him some B1 and he thinks it's helping.
Our life together has had many stressors which included loosing 250K through fraud. His job away at sea had its own stress. I may do a timeline as you did with Carly, thanks for being out there.
You are so welcome. I’m so sorry for your financial loss. Something like that can really shake up our belief systems and faith in the sweetness of life. If you want to email me at martha@marthasquest.com I can send you some additional examples.
Interesting that JT is still touring, despite the addiction and associated risks but presumably relatively good health. It is hard to put any daily long-term regular meds in this equation, would this be a factor?

She said she’s working on being a recluse.
I asked if she’s good at it.
No. She’s an extrovert.
I told her about you & your husband & your book.
She said she’d read it.
Not sure if it would help but I’ve had some customers report clearing up of auto immune conditions with our Ideal Immunity probiotic.

Thank you Gina. I am thinking about how to pull together the feedback I am getting on breathing to see if I can't get someone to study it.
